Our Story

Wildflower Wellness and Holistic Counseling LLC is a holistic counseling practice in Clarkston, MI that provides trauma-informed individual counseling for narcissistic abuse recovery, relational trauma, complex trauma, or life changes, and couples counseling for relationship issues and growth in person or online. The practice is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and respect for each client’s unique story. Therapy here is not about quick fixes, but about meaningful, lasting change.

Wildflower Wellness and Holistic Counseling LLC is led by Kari Spatafore, LPC, NATC, CCTIP a licensed professional counselor serving individuals and couples in Clarkston, MI. My work focuses on supporting individuals healing from narcissistic abuse and complex trauma, and helping couples build healthier, more emotionally connected relationships. I approach therapy through a relational, trauma-informed lens, with an emphasis on emotional safety, self-trust, and meaningful growth. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels human, supportive, and rooted in respect for each person’s unique story.

Working With Me

Counseling with me is meant to feel like a place where you can exhale. I work slowly and intentionally, paying close attention to what helps you feel safe, respected, and understood. Many of the people I work with have spent a long time minimizing their own needs or questioning their perceptions, especially after difficult or emotionally harmful relationships. My role is not to tell you who you are or what you should do, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own inner clarity and sense of self.

Our work together is collaborative and grounded in trust. I value honesty, curiosity, and compassion, and I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen without judgment. Whether we are exploring patterns from past relationships, navigating present challenges, or strengthening emotional connection, I will meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels supportive. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting counseling—showing up as you are is enough.

Wildflowers don’t grow because conditions are perfect — they grow because resilience is already there. At Wildflower Wellness and Holistic Counseling LLC, the wildflower represents the strength that lives within each person, even after seasons of emotional pain or self-doubt. Counseling is about creating the right environment — one of safety, understanding, and compassion — so growth can happen naturally, without pressure or judgment.
